Learn to Pray the Liturgy of the Hours

Experience the daily prayer of the Church by praying the Liturgy of the Hours in “real time.” Before praying each of the main four hours over the course of the weekend, retreatants will learn the spirituality of each hour and how that helps one to enter the prayer more deeply. 

The retreat will include sessions on the mechanics of using the different versions of the Liturgy of the Hours prayer books and the different apps available for smart phones. Guests are encouraged to bring their own versions of the Liturgy of the Hours/Christian Prayer.

The weekend will begin with Evening prayer on Saturday night, followed by the Night Prayer that evening.  Sunday morning will begin with the Office of Readings, Morning Prayer, Mass, and end with Daytime prayer Sunday afternoon. 

Led by Fr. David Huemmer, Chaplain and Spiritual Director at the St. Joseph Retreat & Conference Center 

3pm, Saturday, February 20, 2021 to 3 pm, Sunday, February 21, 2021 Carpenter’s Shop gifts will be open at the end of the retreat.  

Cost: $100, includes a private, single, twin guest room with en-suite bathroom and hotel amenities and three Keltie & Co. Catering meals. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions.
