A reporter from the diocesan publication The Catholic Moment had a chance to sit down with the recently appointment spiritual director of the retreat center, Fr. David Huemmer.

As we move towards the anticipated opening date of the Saint Joseph Retreat and Conference Center, hereafter referred to as SJRCC, I want to share with you our progress to date.

The mural was delivered and has now been pasted on the chapel wall.

Windows have been replaced. The ceiling is being re-plastered. General painting is underway. New chairs have arrived — not on the floor, but in the building. New window coverings are being selected.

An old building requires much love and much restoration. As we progress, we’ll give you updates on some of the repairs and additions you might find interesting.
