Saint Joseph Retreat & Conference Center to Celebrate Year of St. Joseph
Pope Francis has issued an Apostolic Letter entitled Patris corde (“With a Father’s Heart”) proclaiming the Year of St. Joseph beginning December 8, 2020 through the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception December 8, 2021. This marks the 150th anniversary of Blessed Pope Pius IX’s declaration of St. Joseph as Patron of the Universal Church.
“The Year of St. Joseph is a gift to the Church to rediscover the role of St. Joseph in our lives as a model, protector and intercessor,” said Father Huemmer. “This year, we’ll be offering retreats, events, activities, and prayer opportunities centered around our patron saint!”
We will be giving special attention to the Litany of St. Joseph as a prayer to teach us about the virtues of St. Joseph. These virtues can help deepen our devotion to him as father, protector, and intercessor.
